Session 6-5, stock liquidity improved

On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, at market close, total trading value reached nearly VND18,000 billion compared to more than VND14,300 billion yesterday.

Foreign investors were net buyers. This group bought nearly 2,147 billion VND and sold approximately 2,048 billion VND.

In the morning session, the good cash flow into the market helped the representative index of the floor increase by nearly 9 points, reaching close to 1,250 points. At the end of the morning trading session, the VN-Index temporarily stopped at 1,248.16 points, up 8.11 points.

In the afternoon session, the market initially moved positively, but selling pressure increased towards the end of the session, causing the VN-Index to slow down. At the end of the session, the VN-Index stopped at 1,241.95 points, up slightly by 1.9 points (0.15%), while the VN30-Index fell by 0.75 points (-0.06%), to 1,319.66 points.

In this session, cash flow tends to look for opportunities in small and medium-sized stocks. NVL had a remarkable performance when it hit the ceiling with liquidity ranking 6th in the market (nearly 450 billion VND changed hands).

Meanwhile, most of the pillar stocks remained unchanged or increased slightly. Therefore, the market fluctuated within a narrow range at the end of the session.

The code that supported the market the most was GAS, which only contributed 0.62 points. On the contrary, the code that took away the most points was GVR, which only took away 0.51 points.

The increase and decrease in stock prices were not too different. The whole floor recorded 166 stocks in green and 148 stocks in red. In the VN30 group, the number of stocks increasing and decreasing in price was 12 and 13 respectively.

The increase and decrease in industry groups were also balanced. It is noteworthy that no industry group increased by 1% and no industry decreased by that level.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the close of the session, the HNX-Index stopped at 212.89 points, up 0.08 points (0.04%); the HNX30-Index reached 418.35 points, up 0.97 points (0.23%). The total transaction value reached more than 1,000 billion VND.
