Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh met with the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Phuc province from different periods.

On the morning of April 24, at the National Assembly House, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, met with the delegation of National Assembly deputies of Vinh Phuc province from all periods who are participating in the program of returning to the source towards the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026). Also attending the meeting were leaders of the National Assembly Committees and the National Assembly Office.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh welcomed the delegation of National Assembly deputies of Vinh Phuc province from all periods to visit the National Assembly House. Throughout its history, the National Assembly of Vietnam has always fulfilled the important responsibilities assigned by the Party and the people, constantly innovating in terms of organization, thinking and working methods; increasingly promoting the role of legislation, supervision and decision on important issues of the country, being the place to express the will, aspirations and mastery of the people.

Since the beginning of the 15th tenure, with 17 National Assembly sessions (8 regular sessions, 9 irregular sessions), the National Assembly has passed 65 laws and nearly 200 resolutions. Among them are many historic decisions, creating a legal framework to build development infrastructure, remove difficulties for businesses, support economic recovery, administrative reform, promote digital transformation to bring the country into a new stage of development.

Through each term, the National Assembly deputies of the province have not only performed well in their legislative and supervisory roles, but also acted as a reliable bridge between the Party, the State and the people. Many opinions and recommendations from local practices have been promptly reflected, contributing to the improvement of policies and laws, and promoting development.

Highly appreciating the socio-economic achievements of Vinh Phuc in recent times, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh acknowledged: These achievements are the crystallization of the consensus from the Party Committee, the government to each cadre, party member and the people, including the important role of the National Assembly deputies - those who have, are and will continue to shoulder the responsibility of representing the will and voice of voters in the province.

In the context of the country entering a new strategic development phase, on April 12, the Party Central Committee issued Resolution No. 60, which decided to merge Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Hoa Binh provinces, establishing a new administrative unit named Phu Tho province.
