Phan Dang Luu Hamlet is located in the central area of Nam Thanh Commune, with a total natural area of 57.47 hectares, of which 37 hectares are agricultural land, with 316 households, 1,115 people, and 16 clans living there. The economic life of the people is mainly based on income from many occupations, cultural life is constantly developing, and was recognized as a Cultural Village in 2004.
Over the past year, the hamlet has united and mobilized all classes of people to compete to successfully implement the criteria for advanced new rural areas, a synchronous infrastructure system, mobilizing more than 1.9 billion VND to build infrastructure; building a green, clean, beautiful natural environment, a healthy social environment, social security is taken care of; village and neighborhood relationships are united, united, loving, helping each other, the number of well-off and rich households increases, and the number of poor households decreases.
The hamlet strictly implements regulations on weddings, funerals, and festivals; ensures social order, safety, and traffic safety. Improves the quality of activities of Party committees, Party cells, and socio-political organizations in residential areas; builds an increasingly clean and strong political system, and makes the village look more and more spacious, contributing to building Nam Thanh commune to meet advanced new rural standards by the end of 2023.
Notably, 100% of the traffic routes in the area are paved, of which 98% are paved with asphalt and concrete; all roads are equipped with lighting systems, flagpoles and flower beds are basically installed, and trees are planted.
The whole hamlet has 30 hectares of 2-rice land, 5 hectares of fertile land and aquaculture, of which there is a field that generates an income of 150 million VND/ha. The hamlet has 3 duck farms that meet VietGAP standards, participating in providing 3-star OCOP products of the commune. In the hamlet, there are 5 highly effective economic development models. Up to now, the rate of cultural families in the hamlet has reached 89%, the number of well-off and rich households is 157, reaching 49.7%, the hamlet has 3 poor households, accounting for 0.94%. The average income per capita is 67.5 million VND/year; the rate of Cultural Families is 89%.
Sharing joy with the people of Phan Dang Luu hamlet - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An congratulated and commended the results and achievements of the people in the hamlet in the past time.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that solidarity is a fine tradition, the strength of our nation in every revolutionary stage. Comrade Bui Thanh An hopes that in the coming time, Phan Dang Luu hamlet will continue to unite, reach consensus, promote traditions, and effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements.
In addition, the hamlet continues to carry out well the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; care for the cause of great national unity; build many models and examples in all areas of social life; create social consensus to help each other develop the economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; help each other with seeds, animals, and experiences to develop production, gradually improve life, contribute to the successful implementation of the socio-economic goals and build new rural areas of the locality.
Along with that, we promote the tradition of drinking water and remembering its source, eating fruit and remembering the person who planted the tree, the spirit of mutual love and support, creating conditions to help war invalids, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution; activities to join hands for the poor - leaving no one behind; helping lonely elderly people, orphans with no place to rely on, the unfortunate, those with risks and hardships in life.
The community promotes democracy, maintains discipline, everyone lives and works according to the constitution and law; well implements the regulations on grassroots democracy, conventions, community covenants, mobilizes everyone, every household in the community to say no to dirty food production. All people participate in the movement to prevent and combat crimes, social evils, and protect rural security.
Phan Dang Luu hamlet also needs to continue to promote and preserve traditions and cultural lifestyles, effectively implement the criteria for building cultural families and cultural villages; civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, festivals, organizing cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities; promote the movement of exemplary grandparents, parents, filial children and grandchildren, etc., build a healthy living environment, preserve and promote traditional moral values.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Comrade Bui Thanh An presented 10 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 10 families in particularly difficult circumstances in the area. He also presented Phan Dang Luu hamlet with 50 million VND.
The District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thanh district presented 20 million VND to Phan Dang Luu hamlet; presented 15 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to 15 families in difficult circumstances.
Nam Thanh Commune also awarded 42 families the title of Outstanding Cultural Family for the period 2021-2023.
