At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son warmly congratulated China on successfully organizing the 4th Central Conference of the 20th tenure (October 20-23), providing important strategic directions for the construction of the 15th Five-Year Plan, creating an important foundation for China to continue high-quality development in the next period.

Appreciating Ambassador Ha Vi and the Chinese Embassy for their cooperation in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various fields over the past time, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son hopes that the two sides will continue to coordinate well in implementing high-level foreign affairs activities, and organize well the 17th meeting of the Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee to review the cooperation situation, agree on directions and measures to continue to concretize and effectively implement the common perception between the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested that the two sides give high priority to railway cooperation, ensure the start of construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong route in 2025; soon sign the Protocol on opening the market for Vietnamese agricultural products, expand the smart border gate model, promote electricity connection cooperation, create substantive changes in science and technology cooperation, strengthen local cooperation and effectively implement people-to-people exchange activities. The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that the two sides strictly implement the high-level common awareness on better controlling and resolving disagreements, and properly handle maritime issues in accordance with international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Agreeing with the directions of Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Ambassador Ha Vi said that 2025 marks a very good development step in the China-Vietnam relationship, especially after the mutual visits between the two General Secretaries and key leaders of the two Parties and two countries; the two sides organized many rich and practical exchange activities, economic and trade cooperation developed strongly, constantly setting new records.

The Ambassador affirmed that he will make efforts to coordinate and organize well the exchange activities at high and all levels, especially the 17th Meeting of the Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation; promote the substantive cooperation contents between the two countries to create rich results for the Meeting, contributing to building the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future with strategic significance that is constantly developing in depth and effectively, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
