Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long inspected the Project of Bach Mai Hospital Facility 2 and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Ninh Binh

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the delegation inspected the site at Facility 2 - Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.

Also attending were comrade Dao Hong Lan, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Health ; leaders of several central ministries and branches; leaders of Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and construction contractors.

On behalf of Ninh Binh province's leaders, there were comrades: Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ha Lan Anh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments and branches.

After inspecting the actual construction progress of items at Facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long and the working delegation had a working session to discuss and discuss solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in order to complete the project on schedule.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Health, the construction progress of items at Facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital will basically be completed before November 30, 2025. Currently, the Facility 2 Project of Bach Mai Hospital is continuing to complete construction of items such as: IPS cabinet system; hot water system; fire prevention and fighting system, complete connection of outdoor lighting system; irrigation and water supply system for auxiliary buildings; installation of equipment for auxiliary buildings...

The Project of Facility 2 of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital is continuing to construct plaster ceilings, aluminum ceilings, paint and putty inside and outside the house; complete the operating room, install doors; install electrical and water equipment; complete the basement; industrial cleaning; parking lot; construct rainwater and wastewater drainage systems, construct lighting systems...

Both hospitals have implemented the direct procurement of a part of medical equipment and are expected to complete it before December 25, 2025. At the same time, they will implement open bidding for other medical equipment and are expected to complete the installation, handover and put into use of all equipment before April 30, 2026.

At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital reported on the progress of the work contents of the 2 hospitals regarding human resource arrangement; completing the information technology infrastructure to unify the operations between Facility 1 and Facility 2; the plan to purchase medical supplies and equipment to serve Facility 2 when it comes into operation... At the same time, they made recommendations to the Government, the Ministry of Health, and central ministries and branches on a number of contents such as: completing the items of purchasing medical supplies and equipment; promptly approving a special financial mechanism for the Hospital to recruit talented people to serve at Facility 2...

Concluding the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Health, the Project Management Board, Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and the contractors to implement the project on schedule. At the same time, he emphasized: The Government is very determined and resolute in directing to put the two projects of Facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital into operation in 2025.

To put the 2nd Facility of the two Hospitals into operation as planned, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long requested the Ministry of Health to coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to find specific solutions to remove obstacles in financial mechanisms, promptly pay for completed works to contractors; and pay attention to promoting the progress of monitoring the quality of works. The Project Management Board needs to closely follow the plan, focus on human resources, time, intelligence, and determination to work side by side with contractors to carry out the work. Contractors need to arrange engineers and workers to speed up the progress of equipment packages, information technology infrastructure, fire prevention and fighting to meet all requirements when putting the 2nd Facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital into operation, meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of the people.
