On July 25, in Lam Vien ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong , Central Party Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and the Central working delegation had a working session with the Da Lat Nuclear Research Institute (under the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute).
Reporting to Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and the working delegation, Mr. Cao Dong Vu, Director of the Da Lat Nuclear Research Institute, said that the Da Lat nuclear reactor (located on Nguyen Tu Luc Street, Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat) has been operating safely and effectively for over 40 years.

Dalat Nuclear Research Institute has successfully mastered the technology of operating nuclear reactors, achieving more than 71,000 hours of safe operation, serving scientific research and producing radioactive pharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat diseases for people.
Dalat Nuclear Research Institute also researches and effectively applies atomic energy in fields such as environment, industry, agriculture, environment and archeology.
Currently, Dalat Nuclear Research Institute has completed the production process of many radioactive isotopes, meeting domestic medical needs.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son commended and highly appreciated the results that the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute has achieved in recent times.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that over the past 40 years, the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute has been a pioneer in research, mastering technology, and applying research results into practice to serve the country's development.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son requested the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute to continue to effectively exploit its infrastructure and continue to enhance the Institute's role and position in the region and the world.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, human resources are one of the most valuable assets when the country enters the development stage. Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute should pay attention to and enhance its role in training and fostering human resources; master core technology in research and application of nuclear technology.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son asked the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute to carefully prepare technology, facilities, and human resources to meet the needs of implementing major projects in the future.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested ministries, branches and localities to continue supporting the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute in terms of mechanisms, finance, human resources, etc. so that this unit can improve its research capacity and contribute to development in the coming time.
