Without any ostentation or formality, learning from Uncle Ho among women members of Duc Co district is carried out gently but deeply. Through the association's activities, stories about Uncle Ho are told simply and touchingly, arousing the women's self-awareness and will to rise up. Many members choose to learn from Uncle Ho from small things such as: maintaining hygiene, saving, helping people around, raising healthy children, teaching good children, living a good life and upholding morality...

A typical example is Ms. Ro Mah H'Bih - Head of the Women's Association of Sung village (Ia Dok commune), who is always at the forefront of movements launched by the District Women's Union. To learn and follow Uncle Ho's teachings, she initiated the model of "Raising piggy banks to save" among members, helping many poor women stabilize their lives. "Uncle Ho taught us to be frugal and not to spend wastefully. If we learn from Uncle Ho, we must help women appreciate the money we earn" - Ms. H'Bih shared.
From that thought, in 2022, she implemented the model of "Raising a piggy bank to save money" at the Association. Initially, only a few members participated, putting a few thousand dong in the piggy bank every day. Thanks to persistent advocacy, the model gradually spread. Up to now, the entire Association has 50 members participating, saving tens of millions of dong every year. Ms. Siu H'Lai, a member, shared: "In the past, I didn't know how to save, my family spent all the money we earned. Thanks to Ms. H'Bih's reminder, now I put 5,000 dong in the piggy bank every day so that when I have something to do, I can break the piggy bank so I don't have to borrow money from outside...".
Not only saving for herself, Ms. H'Bih also encourages members to share part of their savings to support the needy. Every year, the Association allocates from the piggy bank fund to support 2-3 households in difficult circumstances such as: illness, natural disasters...

In Ia Nan commune, imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings on the role of the people in protecting national sovereignty, in 2021, the Women's Union of the commune launched the "Women self-managing border lines, signs, and border markers" Club with 30 members participating. Ms. Do Thi Hao - President of the Women's Union of Ia Nan commune - said: "The commune has more than 10 km of border adjacent to Cambodia. To contribute to maintaining border security, every month, the Club coordinates with the Ia Nan Border Guard Station to propagate and mobilize members to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty, patrolling and managing the border. At the same time, mobilize people with fields near the border not to illegally expand or expand. "We learn from Uncle Ho from the smallest things and are always close to the people, listening to the people to promote the strength of the people, contributing to creating a solid position to protect the border" - Ms. Hao affirmed.
The movement “Each woman does a good deed to learn from Uncle Ho” has been widely implemented by the Women’s Union of Duc Co district with many flexible forms. Many branches organize activities to help each other with working days, develop the economy , raise healthy children, teach good children, build practical models such as: “Study corner for children of poor members”, “Godmother”… contributing to spreading moral values in the community.

The Women's Association of Chan Village (Ia Pnôn Commune) has 239 members, most of whom are ethnic minorities. From 2022, the Association has determined that learning from Uncle Ho must be associated with human morality, love, help each other, live a good life, and be attached to the village. The content of activities is integrated with religious teachings and laws, encouraging women to set good examples in their families and communities. Ms. Siu H'Got - Head of the Women's Association of Chan Village - shared: "Uncle Ho taught us to love people and live sincerely. Religion also teaches the same. Learning from Uncle Ho is to live a kind life, do many good deeds, and support our families and communities."
Mr. Siu Luynh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Duc Co district emphasized: "The typical examples of women are vivid proof that learning and following Uncle Ho is really entering life. In the border land of Duc Co, women are not only a solid rear but also the ones who inspire beautiful and useful living with their hearts and simple daily actions".
