In recent years, the economic development emulation movement among women members of Tra Ly ward has spread widely, with many creative and effective models appearing. Not only developing the family economy, many women also create jobs for local workers.
Although she has established a stable construction and interior decoration company in Hanoi , Ms. Bui Thi Lien, from Hiep Trung residential group, Tra Ly ward, still wants to develop the economy in her hometown. Realizing that no one in the locality is engaged in curtain manufacturing, in 2022, she boldly invested in building a factory, purchasing machinery, raw materials and hiring workers to start production on the spot.
Ms. Lien shared: Curtains, especially roller blinds, are an indispensable part of decorating and perfecting living and working spaces from homes, offices to high-rise buildings and hotels. The demand for interior decoration is increasing. Grasping the market, I invested in machinery and continuously updated new curtain designs to suit consumer tastes. In addition to traditional orders from old customers, I promoted marketing activities to increase brand awareness and reach customers; focused on building highly interactive communication content on social networking platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, etc.
With guaranteed quality, diverse designs, professional services, flexible incentive policies, curtain products manufactured by Ms. Lien's facility are available nationwide. Currently, she has expanded 2 production workshops in Tra Ly ward with a total area of 2,000 m², creating stable jobs for about 50 workers, with an income of 6 - 12 million VND/person/month. Not only developing the family economy, Ms. Lien also participates in a curtain processing cooperative to exchange experiences, support capital and techniques for many women in the ward.
Also starting a business in 2022, Ms. Ha Thi Quyen, Hong Phong residential group, Tra Ly ward, chose the garment industry to develop the economy. Based on her own skills and high market demand, she established Bao An garment factory, initially with only a dozen workers. Up to now, the factory has expanded its scale with nearly 50 workers, with an average income of 7 - 8 million VND/person/month.
Having been here since the early days of its establishment, Ms. Ha Thi Xuyen, Phuong Cuc residential group, Tra Ly ward, said: We sisters work here with peace of mind. Those who do not know the job are trained and supported with salaries. Working hours are flexible, we can take advantage of the time to go home at noon to take care of housework, not too constrained like in companies.
Specializing in the production of export jackets - a key product, Ms. Quyen always closely monitors each stage to ensure quality and progress. Ms. Quyen shared: To keep employees long-term, I always care for and encourage them, creating a friendly, united and responsible working environment.
Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Tra, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Women's Union of Tra Ly Ward, said: Ms. Lien and Ms. Quyen are examples of dynamic, hard-working women who are good at business, both developing the family economy and supporting job creation for many female workers in the locality. With the spirit of daring to think and daring to do, they are not only the "fire keepers" of their families but also female entrepreneurs who actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the ward.
As a locality where 80% of women members work in agriculture , in the coming time, the Ward Women's Union will continue to implement loan support programs, mobilize resources to donate livelihoods, to help members develop the economy, increase income, and stabilize their lives.
