On February 20, in Takeo province (Kingdom of Cambodia), a conference was held to review the implementation of the 2023 cooperation agreement between the Women's Union of An Giang province (Vietnam) and the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development of Takeo and Kandal provinces (Kingdom of Cambodia).

In 2023, the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Women's Union organized medical examinations, provided medicine, and gave gifts to 160 poor women and awarded scholarships to 40 female students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies in Takeo and Kandal provinces.

In addition, the An Giang Provincial Women's Union also directed the district and grassroots Women's Unions to step up propaganda on preventing human trafficking;educate the tradition of solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia; and create conditions for trade and exchange of goods for women in border areas.

Thereby, contributing to strengthening solidarity, traditional relations, friendship, comprehensive cooperation and effectively implementing the cooperation program between the An Giang Provincial Women's Union and the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development of Takeo and Kandal provinces.

On this occasion, the An Giang Provincial Women's Union signed a cooperation agreement for 2024 with the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development of Takeo and Kandal provinces.
