Phu Quoc forcibly reclaimed more than 46,000 square meters of land in Rach Tram neighborhood

On November 3, the Phu Quoc Special Zone Authority (An Giang Province) organized the enforcement of the decision to reclaim land from 8 cases of intentionally not handing over land to the state for socio-economic development, for national and public interests in Rach Tram quarter, with a total area of ​​46,182.33 square meters.

Although the local government has repeatedly propagandized and mobilized the related people, including Huynh Thuy Van, Huynh Thi Loi, Tran Thuy Huong, Huynh Van Oanh, Ha Tang Minh Tri... to voluntarily hand over land to the State for socio -economic development, for the national and public interest, but up to now these households have not complied, forcing the local government to forcibly recover land from 7 individuals and 1 organization, Thien Tue Agricultural Products - Trade and Service Company Limited. The total recovered area is ^46,182.33m2 .

In addition to these households, many households living in Rach Tram neighborhood have agreed to receive compensation and hand over land to the state according to the law, creating conditions for local socio-economic development.

Authorities moved structures and other assets out of the land area.

Under the supervision of local people, departments, branches and functional forces invited individuals and organizations whose land was recovered to sign a record of forced relocation of architectural objects and other assets from the recovered land area and hand over the land to the state.

In recent times, with the determination to restore urban order, manage land, and strictly handle cases of intentional violations of the Land Law, up to this point, Phu Quoc has not discovered any new cases arising in the encroachment and occupation of land managed by the State.
