Dong Da Ward honors typical and advanced teachers

GD&TĐ - On November 14, Dong Da ward (Hanoi) held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 and honor advanced models and exemplary teachers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Da Ward People's Committee Nguyen Trong Hai affirmed that Vietnam Teachers' Day is an opportunity for the whole society to show gratitude to those working in education - the "silent ferrymen" who persistently sow the seeds of knowledge and nurture the personality of generations of students. This is also a time to honor the persistent contributions, responsibility and love for the profession of the teaching staff.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Hai, the year 2025 recorded many outstanding achievements of the education sector of Dong Da ward. Under the direction of the Party Committee and the coordination of departments and branches, the quality of teaching and learning continued to develop steadily; 100% of schools maintained the movement to build a bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe environment.

Many teachers have been awarded the title of Excellent Teacher at the city level; students have achieved high rankings in competitions for excellent students, talent competitions, sports and arts. The ward leaders have acknowledged and praised the contributions of groups and individuals, and at the same time thanked the parents and people for their support of the local education cause.

Congratulating the education sector on the occasion of November 20, Party Secretary and Chairman of Dong Da Ward People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Viet emphasized that the 2025-2026 school year takes place in the context of the whole country celebrating many important historical milestones; the education sector conducts the first exam according to the 2018 General Education Program and implements the Law on Teachers. This is also the year that the capital's education sector has achieved many outstanding results, creating new momentum from Resolution 71-NQ/TU on breakthroughs in education and training development.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Viet said that Dong Da ward always pays close attention to education. The ward has organized meetings with voters on education to listen to teachers' recommendations; directed to fully prepare conditions for the new school year and create conditions for the education sector to participate in political and social activities. School repair and renovation projects continue to be implemented to ensure facilities for teaching and learning.

Emphasizing the tasks in the coming time, the Party Secretary of the ward requested the Dong Da education sector to focus on effectively implementing key tasks, especially mobilizing investment resources; innovating management and teaching methods; promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation; maintaining discipline and ensuring school safety. The three focuses identified by the ward include: enhancing English, promoting digital transformation and developing a reading culture.
