Quang Nam strengthens management of martyrs' cemeteries

Accordingly, through a preliminary inspection, the implementation of Resolution 59 (QN59) dated December 8, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on amending and supplementing Resolution 68 (NQ68) dated September 29, 2021 of the Provincial People's Council on renovating and upgrading martyrs' cemeteries and works honoring martyrs in the province in the period of 2022 - 2026 in some localities still has some limitations.

To further strengthen this work, the Provincial People's Committee requests
Districts, towns and cities that have been approved to invest in martyr cemeteries and martyr memorial works in Resolution 68 and Resolution 59 need to focus on and speed up the construction progress of all items of projects to renovate and upgrade martyr cemeteries and martyr memorial works in 2024 and complete them before March 24, 2025; at the same time, promptly carry out payment and settlement of each project.

In addition to the budget allocated in Resolution 68 and Resolution 59, localities are requested to pay attention to arranging and balancing local budgets and proactively mobilizing social resources, mobilizing the Gratitude Fund to upgrade and repair damaged and degraded items and renovate martyr cemeteries and works honoring martyrs in their localities.

Urgently clean and sanitize martyr cemeteries and martyr memorial works to ensure cleanliness and dignity, meeting the needs of agencies, units, cadres, soldiers and people to visit, commemorate, offer incense and light candles to show gratitude to martyrs.
The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs guides, inspects, and supervises the implementation of the resolution and synthesizes and reports to the Provincial People's Committee any arising issues that need to be resolved.
