Quang Ninh won 4 prizes in the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest

On October 24, in Phu Tho, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a summary and award ceremony for the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassadors; in which, Quang Ninh was honored to have 3 students winning 4 awards in this contest.

The contest is an activity for students nationwide, aiming to arouse passion, promote reading movement among the young generation, encourage sharing, spread the love of reading, contribute to developing reading culture in schools, communities and building a learning society in Vietnam. This is the 5th year that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has organized the Reading Culture Ambassador contest for students nationwide. After 4 months of launching and implementing, the preliminary round of the contest attracted 1,686,865 students from nearly 9,200 educational institutions to participate; the Organizing Committee received 517 high-prize entries in the preliminary round from provinces and educational institutions.

In the final results, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 titles of Outstanding Reading Culture Ambassador, 8 First prizes, 16 Second prizes, 32 Third prizes, 64 Encouragement prizes and 16 thematic prizes to the contestants. Quang Ninh has 3 students winning 4 prizes in this contest including: Pham Trung Khai, class 8A8, Trong Diem Secondary School, Ha Long City won the title of Outstanding Reading Culture Ambassador; Le Gia Linh, class 10A12, Cam Pha High School won the First prize; Trieu Duc Duy, class 6A1, Troi Secondary School, Ha Long City won the First prize and the Thematic prize for the best short story to encourage learning.

As planned, on the morning of October 30, the Department of Culture and Sports and the Department of Education and Training jointly organized the summary and award ceremony of the Quang Ninh Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2024 and honored students who won the National Reading Culture Ambassador Award 2024.
