Quang Tri determined to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025

This morning, May 7, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the work of the Provincial Front and socio-political organizations in the first quarter and deploy tasks for the second quarter of 2025. In the first quarter of 2025, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the province will focus on the grassroots level, focusing on building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, clearing land, relocating and resettling to implement works and projects, and at the same time arranging the apparatus of the political system according to the set plan.

Regarding the implementation of the Project "Mobilizing resources to implement the policy of supporting the construction of new houses for poor households in Quang Tri province, period 2022-2026", the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and promote the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025", by April 24, 2025, the whole province had started to build and repair 5,051/7,663 houses, reaching 65.9% of the plan, of which 3,976/4,460 houses were started to build new houses, reaching 89.1%.

From the beginning of the year to April 30, 2025, the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee at all levels in the province mobilized more than 6.5 billion VND, and supported the construction and repair of 2,673 houses for poor and near-poor households worth more than 147 billion VND and many other support contents worth billions of VND; built 28 union shelters for workers with housing difficulties worth 1.2 billion VND; handed over 3 public housing rooms to teachers in 2 schools in Dakrong district worth 600 million VND; started construction of 9 "Red Scarf Houses" with a total value of 630 million VND...

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee coordinates with the Standing Committee of the provincial socio-political organizations to develop a project to arrange and merge socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to be under the Provincial and Commune Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees.

Advise the Provincial Party Standing Committee to lead and direct the arrangement of socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to be under the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune level in sync with the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, to be completed before August 15, 2025...

The conference spent most of its time discussing and pointing out the causes of the results achieved as well as the existing problems and limitations; proposing 4 key tasks for the second quarter of 2025, including continuing to complete the draft content of the project to arrange and merge socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State under the Vietnam Fatherland Front to ensure the implementation is completed according to plan and schedule.

Along with that, continue to effectively carry out the campaign, patriotic emulation movement as well as call for and mobilize social resources to accelerate the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province to ensure completion according to plan.

At the same time, promptly implement policies for people with meritorious services, social assistance, ensure social security, improve the material and spiritual life of union members and the people.

Concluding the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang emphasized that the Project "Mobilizing resources to implement the policy of supporting the construction of new houses for poor households in Quang Tri province in the period of 2022-2026" has achieved encouraging results.

With the determination to complete the set goals by June 30, 2025, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations continue to remove difficulties and obstacles for implementation. In particular, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee strengthens supervision work, and wherever union members and members are eligible for support from the temporary and dilapidated house removal program but do not have the support policy, they will report specifically to the Provincial Steering Committee for Temporary and Dilapidated House Removal and competent authorities for direction and handling.

Along with the good implementation of the assigned tasks, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and socio-political organizations agreed on the plan to arrange and consolidate the apparatus to submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision in accordance with the set policies and roadmap.

In May 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the province will organize the collection of public opinions and directly participate in contributing opinions to amend and supplement a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution according to the time prescribed by the central government...
