The National Assembly opened its 6th session, discussing many important contents.

On the morning of October 23, the National Assembly will open its 6th session, expected to last 22 days. The session will consider and decide on many important issues.

According to the National Assembly Office, the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly will hold a preparatory meeting and open on the morning of October 23 and is expected to close on November 28, in the form of a centralized meeting.

The 6th session will be held in 2 phases. Phase 1 is scheduled from October 23 to November 10. Phase 2 is scheduled from November 20 to 28. The total working time of the session is expected to be 22 days.

Before the opening session on the morning of October 23, leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front , and National Assembly deputies will lay wreaths and visit President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum.

Then the National Assembly held a preparatory session and discussed and voted to approve the session agenda.

At the opening session, after the opening speech by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the National Assembly will listen to the Government's reports on the socio-economic development situation and a summary report on opinions and recommendations sent to the session by voters and people.

At this session, the National Assembly will consider and pass nine draft laws, including the Land Law (amended); the Real Estate Business Law (amended); the Housing Law (amended); the Water Resources Law (amended); and the Telecommunications Law (amended).

Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level; Law on Citizen Identification (amended); Law on Credit Institutions (amended).

The National Assembly will also consider and approve a draft resolution: Resolution on piloting a number of mechanisms and policies to remove obstacles stipulated in a number of laws related to investment in the construction of road traffic works.

The National Assembly will consider and comment on eight draft laws, including the Law on Social Insurance (amended); the Law on Archives (amended); the Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; the Law on Roads; and the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety.

Law on the Capital (amended); Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Property Auction.

Vote of confidence for 44 positions

The National Assembly will also consider and decide on economic and social issues, review reports on judicial work, including reports by the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and reports by the Government on corruption prevention and control, crime prevention and control, and law violations.

The National Assembly will conduct a question-and-answer session for National Assembly deputies on the responsibilities of Government members and sector heads in implementing a number of resolutions of the 14th National Assembly on thematic supervision and questioning, and resolutions of the National Assembly on thematic supervision and questioning from the beginning of the 15th term to the end of the 4th session. The question-and-answer session is expected to last 2.5 days.

The National Assembly will also conduct a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly. This is expected to last 1.5 days and there will be 44 positions subject to a vote of confidence.
