Recognizing the important role of the fight against drugs, Lang Son province's departments and branches have paid attention to leading, directing, and mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system and the entire population to participate in drug prevention and control work, gradually restraining, preventing, and repelling drug abuse in the area. In the first 6 months of 2023 alone, the whole province organized over 3,000 sessions to disseminate laws on drug prevention and control, with over 350,000 listeners; organized the signing of commitments not to violate the law for over 147,000 students and teachers. At the same time, the authorities discovered 20 cases of planting plants containing narcotic substances; arrested over 200 cases, with over 600 drug criminals, seized over 1,300 grams of heroin and over 2,600 synthetic drug pills, and many other exhibits...
Speaking at the rally, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Lang Son Provincial People's Committee always identifies and pays attention to directing forces to strengthen the fight against crime, following the motto of reducing the "supply" source, limiting the "demand" source, reducing the complicated situation of crime and drug abuse.
He suggested: All levels, sectors, functional forces and the entire people need to continue to resolutely and effectively implement the directives, resolutions, programs and plans of the Party, the State, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and legal regulations on drug prevention and control in a regular and continuous spirit, with the joint efforts of the whole society. At the same time, promote the combined strength of the entire political system; the responsible participation, close, synchronous and effective coordination of all levels, sectors, especially the participation of mass organizations and the people, including youth union members, with the determination to build a drug-free community - a peaceful, happy and prosperous society.

Immediately after the rally, units including the Provincial Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union, the Provincial Police and the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated to organize the program "Journey of Faith" at the Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center (Tan Thanh Commune, Cao Loc District), with the participation of 200 students in the facility.
