Launch of BYD Song L 2026, running 1,630 km, "fuel consumption" 3.4L/100km, price 516 million

Chinese car company BYD has just officially launched the Song L DM-i 2026 with three versions, priced from 139,800 - 156,800 yuan (about 516-579 million VND).

The new BYD Song L DM-i 2026, although still retaining the same design as the current generation, still brings some subtle changes to make the appearance more modern. The large grille is finished with a sophisticated star pattern, the front bumper and angular wheel arches create a strong feeling.

The 2026 Song L DM-i is equipped by BYD with a standard DiSus-C intelligent shock absorber system, combined with the TBC high-speed body stability control system, providing a stable driving feel.

In addition, the car also integrates the Tian Shen Eye C driver assistance system, BYD's self-developed technology, aiming towards the ability to support semi-automatic driving in the future.

A notable change is the semi-hidden door handles, in addition, BYD also added two new paint colors: Guanyao Gray and Xinghe Be, making the SUV look more luxurious and different.

The interior space is designed according to BYD's latest "Dynasty" philosophy. The center console is neatly arranged with the gear lever mounted on the steering column, allowing for optimal space and comfort for the driver.

The entertainment system is greatly upgraded, supporting a series of smart entertainment features such as microphone-free KTV, game center, crossword puzzle, screen mirroring, big screen video playback, and even 3D animated pets.

In particular, the car is equipped with a central cold/warm box that can be adjusted from -6°C to 50°C, along with massage front seats, providing a high-class experience equivalent to luxury SUVs.

The high-end version of the BYD Song L DM-i 2026 is capable of running on pure electricity for up to 200km, thanks to the 5th generation DM hybrid system. The car uses a 1.5L gasoline engine for 100 horsepower.

Combined with a 160kW electric motor, the car achieves a fuel consumption of only 3.4L/100km according to NEDC standards. The total combined travel distance can reach 1,630km.

BYD Song L is a mid-range SUV similar to Sealion 6 in Vietnam, however Song L is larger in size and belongs to the Dynasty product line, while Sealion 6 belongs to the Ocean product line and is called Song Plus in China.
