More than 500 trumpet trees planted on the road leading to the Con Moong National Monument in Thanh Yen Commune (Thach Thanh) will create a highlight for tourism development and build a green, clean, and beautiful road bearing the mark of women.

On the morning of March 1, in Thanh Yen commune, the Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Women's Union of Thach Thanh district to launch a spring tree planting movement and organize a media fair to prevent and combat plastic waste.

Delegates, members and women attended the launching ceremony and responded to the spring tree planting movement.

At the launching ceremony, the leaders of the Women's Union of Thach Thanh district called on each cadre and female member to actively take the lead and carry out well the movements "Each member, woman - one tree", "Each union base - one tree project", contributing to the goal of planting 1 billion trees in the period of 2021-2025 according to the call of the Prime Minister .

After the launching ceremony, leaders of the Provincial Women's Union, Thach Thanh district and accompanying units planted 500 trumpet trees on the road leading to Con Moong cave - a special national monument in Thanh Trung village.

Leaders of the Provincial and District Women's Unions visited products recycled from plastic waste by members at the fair.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee donated 400 plastic shopping baskets to women and organized a media fair to prevent plastic waste.
