Review and prepare conditions for teaching 2 sessions/day at secondary school level

Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training has just sent a document to the Departments of Education and Training regarding the review and preparation of conditions for implementing 2-session teaching and learning per day at secondary school level, including facilities, teaching staff, and educational plans.

Accordingly, the conditions for implementing 2-session teaching and learning per day include: Ensuring the ratio of 1 classroom/class, facilities, and number of students per class according to the regulations in the Charter of Secondary Schools; having sufficient minimum teaching equipment according to the regulations in Circular No. 38/2021 of the Ministry of Education and Training promulgating the List of minimum teaching equipment for secondary schools; ensuring the ratio of 1.9 teachers/class and the structure of teachers to teach all subjects andeducational activities according to regulations; arranging no more than 8 periods per day (no more than 5 periods in the morning, no more than 3 periods in the afternoon); implementing the education plan of at least 9 sessions/week with 35 periods/week.

The Department of Education and Training requires the Departments of Education and Training to report the actual number of classrooms/classes, propose additional needs for facilities, other necessary conditions at educational institutions, and the ability to meet the teaching and learning needs of 2 sessions/day of educational institutions in the area. At the same time, report the actual number of teachers in each subject, propose additional needs to ensure teaching and learning needs of 2 sessions/day.
