Composing propaganda posters to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day

This is an activity towards the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The contest aims to select outstanding propaganda paintings to serve the propaganda activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day. Through the works, widely propagate to cadres, party members and people of all walks of life the importance and historical significance of the Capital Liberation Day, the glorious tradition of revolutionary struggle and the great contributions of the Party Committee, armed forces and people of Hanoi .

At the same time, promote propaganda for emulation movements to achieve achievements in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day; commend collectives and typical advanced models in labor production...

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Tran Thi Van Anh said: In recent years, the Department has paid special attention to and focused on forms of propaganda serving political tasks. Many propaganda painting competitions have been organized to promote the potential of fine art creation, encourage and motivate the movement of creating propaganda paintings; encourage the spirit and ability of artists to create about the Capital; find and select new works, expressing rich content and artistic styles that go beyond the beaten path.

At the same time, with the unique and distinctive expression of propaganda paintings, the organizers hope that artists from provinces and cities across the country and Hanoi will bring a new perspective on the tradition of the thousand-year-old capital, heroic city, city for peace, creative city.

The contest is open to professional and amateur artists nationwide, Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese people residing abroad. The works submitted must be recent creations, not submitted to other contests, and not published in any form. Authors are allowed to submit one or more works. The size of the work is 54cm x 79cm.

The main content of the propaganda poster design contest is to widely propagate and educate cadres, party members and people of all walks of life about the great historical significance of the Capital Liberation Day; about the glorious revolutionary tradition of the Party Committee and people of Hanoi, of the Vietnam People's Army. Thoroughly grasp and affirm Hanoi's position as the heart of the whole country, the national political and administrative nerve center, a major center of culture, science, education, economy and international transactions. Propagating and educating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source"; honoring and showing gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of policy families and people with revolutionary contributions. Propagating the achievements of the Capital over 70 years of construction and development and after nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation cause in the fields of culture, economy, society, health, science and technology...

The submission period is from now until June 30, 2024. At the end of the contest, the organizing committee will issue certificates to the winning authors, including 3 first prizes, each worth 6 million VND; 5 second prizes, each worth 3 million VND; 7 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes. At the same time, the organizing committee will select a number of quality works to serve the exhibition and use for propaganda activities./.
