On the evening of September 1, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, Sao Mai Huyen Trang - Champion of Sao Mai folk music 2013 - released the MV I love Vietnam. This song was composed by musician Hung Cacao, the MV was directed by Nguyen Anh Dung.
With this MV , Huyen Trang stood on the same stage with the group OPlus for the first time.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, the female singer said: “OPlus is a very talented group, each member has a beautiful, unique voice and modern musical thinking. I need a combination to both support and lift me up. Luckily, the members really like this song and are willing to participate in the MV, despite their busy schedules.”
I Love Vietnam is considered a gift that Huyen Trang and OPlus send to the audience on this special occasion, contributing to enriching the musical picture celebrating Independence Day this year.
With over 10 years of singing, Huyen Trang has been attached to folk music. However, she has tried her hand at some covers (reprise versions) of pop music and received positive feedback, which sparked the idea of experimenting with this genre of music.
“Popular music requires concise singing, clear rhythm and more chest voice. While folk music tends to hum and vibrato, pop music requires neatness and a solid rhythm. That is a challenge but also brings me excitement. Luckily, I always receive enthusiastic advice and support from the OPlus staff, thanks to which I can find a new color for myself,” Huyen Trang shared.
Despite trying her hand at pop music, Huyen Trang still maintains her balance. The female singer affirms that she has not strayed from the music genre she has been attached to for many years. She affirms: “I just want to try and renew my image to match the song I Love Vietnam . This song is still fresh enough, but does not lose the image that I have pursued.”

According to Huyen Trang, the fact that many artists release songs praising their homeland on major holidays is a good sign. “I think that each person has their own way of loving their country. As artists, we want to contribute meaningful products to express pride on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. Patriotic music needs to spread and remain in the hearts of every citizen, and any contribution is valuable,” she said.
Not only conveying her patriotism through music, Huyen Trang also directly immersed herself in the atmosphere of the big holiday. The female singer said that in recent days, she and her family went to watch the parade in the capital.
“When I stood in the crowd, my heart was pounding. I felt extremely proud and grateful to the generations of ancestors who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
Looking at the resilient and proud eyes of each individual participating in the parade, it was a moment that cannot be described in words. I love my country, proud to be born Vietnamese, to be of Vietnamese flesh and blood", Huyen Trang emotionally said.
Huyen Trang (born 1991), won the Sao Mai folk music championship in 2013.
Recently, she has been constantly experimenting with other musical styles such as pop, old music or semi-classical. When singing lyrical music, Huyen Trang still retains the sweet narrative quality of folk music, combining classical vocal techniques, creating a soaring, emotional melody.
In 2022, she performed a mini show of lyrical songs and received positive feedback from the audience.
