Through the survey, the landslide caused damage to the road slope, the hard guardrail and collapsed the B40 mesh barrier. The affected area was 20m wide, about 40m long along the slope with the volume of soil and rock about 40 to 60m3.

Adjacent to the landslide location, an area of about 20 square meters was found to be at high risk of further landslides. Authorities have set up checkpoints and warned road users. In addition, consulting units have surveyed the mountainside twice in the past 5 days and discovered nearly 400 locations at risk and high risk of rockfalls.

Tinh Bien Town People's Committee has temporarily closed the road up and down Cam Mountain for 4 days (from today until October 7) to fix the problem.
