Landslide on a hill in Hung Son commune: Many houses and fields were buried, some residents have not been contacted yet.

DNO - After a large explosion, nearly an entire hill in the border commune of Hung Son suffered a serious landslide, burying many people's houses and fields.

The incident occurred at around 9am on November 14 in Put village (Hung Son commune). The scene of the landslide showed a large section of the hill sliding down for hundreds of meters, sweeping away many crops of local people.

According to Mr. Zoram Buon, Chairman of Hung Son Commune People's Committee, landslides continue to occur in this area, with a very high risk of insecurity. Local authorities have deployed forces to the scene to survey, assess the extent of damage and proactively develop a treatment plan.

The reporter’s source said that on the same morning, in the area where the landslide occurred, there were a few people who went to take care of their crops. However, up to now, the local authorities have not been able to contact these people.
