50 Outstanding Disabled Youth Will Be Honored in 2024

Accordingly, the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" in 2024, coordinated by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and TCP Vietnam Company Limited, will be implemented from May to December 2024.

The program is organized to seek and honor typical examples of disabled youth, who are resilient, overcome adversity and actively contribute to the development of the community; contribute to fostering a good life ideal for young people, promote the rise of Vietnamese youth. At the same time, we hope to create a spread and interest, call on the social community to continue to support and accompany Vietnamese disabled youth; find suitable and sustainable models to support disabled youth to integrate into the community equally, confidently and effectively.

The Shining Vietnamese Willpower Program 2024 will honor 50 delegates who are young people with disabilities under the age of 35.

This year’s program will honor 50 delegates who are young people with disabilities under the age of 35 (for special cases with older ages, the Selection Council will consider and decide). The individuals honored will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the program’s logo, a savings book worth 10 million VND, and other valuable prizes.

According to the plan, the application period is from May 1 to July 1, 2024. On July 8, the Selection Council will meet and select the disabled youth to participate and be honored. The activities of the "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" Program in 2024 are expected to be held from August 20 to 22, 2024 in Hanoi .

In addition, the Organizing Committee also launched a companion program with "Youth with Disabilities Start-ups", from May to December 2024. The program's participants are young people with disabilities who have start-up projects and wish to invest in capital, technology, management skills, and business administration to implement the project; have a need to expand the production and business model being implemented; young people with disabilities have skills in selling and exchanging goods on social platforms.

From the submitted projects, the Organizing Committee will select projects that are eligible for implementation to support with cash, materials, production tools, knowledge consulting, finding product outputs... depending on the scale, nature of the startup project, and the ability to expand the production and business model.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also organizes free training programs to provide knowledge and skills on sales and exchange of goods on social platforms for young people with disabilities.
