Lots of exciting activities

In order to create a healthy, safe and meaningful summer for students, in recent times, the Ha Huy Tap Ward Youth Union (Ha Tinh) has proactively organized summer activities at the grassroots level. The union members actively prepared and designed folk games, group dancing and singing, and sports competitions to attract children to participate in summer activities. Every weekend evening, the yard of the neighborhood cultural house is filled with the laughter and cheers of the children.

The youth union branches maintain regular activities, designing activities that are close and suitable for each age group. Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Ha Huy Tap Ward shared: "Not only focusing on physical training activities, summer activities also help children improve life skills, group activities, and supplement knowledge on injury prevention. In particular, we always focus on propaganda work on drowning prevention to disseminate to children and parents."

The ward union has put up danger warning signs in potentially risky areas and mobilized youth union members to clean up the environment and beautify the landscape of roads and cultural houses. All actions create a green, clean and beautiful living space for children to play comfortably and safely.

A highlight of summer activities is the development of local talent and skill clubs. At Nguyen Hoanh Tu Secondary School, soccer, volleyball, and badminton clubs are scheduled to operate regularly every week, attracting a large number of students to participate. Free martial arts classes, basic and advanced swimming classes for primary school students have also become favorite meeting places for many children.

Phan Phuc Khoi - Tan Lam Huong Primary School excitedly said: "Every week when I get to play soccer with my friends, I feel healthier and happier. My seniors also teach me more skills in passing the ball, keeping balance and avoiding injuries."

Mr. Ho Ly Nam - Nguyen Hoanh Tu Secondary School (Ha Huy Tap, Ha Tinh ) - who directly guides the summer soccer class, shared: "Participating in summer activities, in addition to practicing sports, students also learn discipline and solidarity. When accompanying students during the summer vacation, helping them stay away from electronic devices and have a truly meaningful summer, teachers and youth union members also find joy and excitement."

Connecting family and community

Not only does it benefit students, summer activities also help to bond family members. Mr. Phan Van Toan (Thanh Sen, Ha Tinh) has two daughters attending dance classes at the ward cultural house, sharing: “Before, during summer vacation, my two children just stayed at home, glued to their phones. Now, every day they are eager to go to dance classes, and when they come back, they perform for the whole family to watch, making the family atmosphere much more exciting.”

In addition to physical activities, localities also organize a variety of skill and talent clubs such as: MC kids, reading, fine arts, chess, traditional martial arts, communication skills, sex education , abuse prevention, etc. Each model contributes to developing personal capacity, arousing the spirit of patriotism and sense of responsibility to the community in children.

In order to encourage the students, recently, the Ha Huy Tap Ward Youth Union has given small but meaningful gifts to the summer football clubs. This is not only a recognition of the students' efforts but also a message of encouragement and motivation for them to continue practicing.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong affirmed: “We consider summer activities not only as a playground, but also as a comprehensive educational environment. Children are trained physically, learn life skills, and raise community awareness. The important thing is that children reduce the time spent using electronic devices, which is something parents really want.”

In addition, the Ward Youth Union also pays special attention to improving the capacity of the team in charge of children in propagating the Law on Children, preventing abuse, drowning and injuries, contributing to the protection and comprehensive development of future generations.

Ms. Le Thi Phuong - Principal of Thach Trung Primary School (Tran Phu, Ha Tinh) commented: "We consider summer activities as an opportunity to comprehensively educate students. Through clubs, the school and the ward Youth Union coordinate to create a healthy development environment, helping students form a positive lifestyle and a sense of responsibility."
