Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training has just issued review instructions and exam structure for Math in the 10th grade high school entrance exam applied from the 2026-2027 school year.

Accordingly, the general Math exam consists of 70% multiple choice questions, 30% essay questions, and the test time is 120 minutes. The exam content closely follows the general education program for Math, focusing on the basic knowledge that must be ensured in junior high school grades; knowledge to solve problems and situations mainly in grade 9.

The specialized Math exam consists of 100% essay questions, with a duration of 120 minutes. The exam content closely follows the general education program for Mathematics, and at the same time approaches the orientation of the advanced education program for specialized subjects of the Ministry of Education and Training . The scope of knowledge includes the basic knowledge that must be ensured in the secondary school grades and adds advanced content in some areas of algebra, arithmetic, geometry - measurement.

In the guidance document, the Department of Education and Training stipulates the knowledge ratio for each topic, thinking level and core competencies according to the 2018 General Education Program.
