Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports provides information related to "Meeting with Nguyen Tung Duong and Ninh Anh Bui"

The Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced that it has issued a document approving the organization of an art performance in the program "Exchange with Nguyen Tung Duong and Ninh Anh Bui". However, the department is still coordinating with the organizing unit to evaluate the content and review the program.

Recently, the fan meeting program of the KOL couple Ninh Duong Story (Ninh Anh Bui and Nguyen Tung Duong) which is about to be held at Ho Xuan Huong Stadium on September 27th has received many mixed reactions, even fierce debates from public opinion.

Accordingly, the event, although not yet taking place, has caused a stir, because the two characters above are not artists, just influencers/KOLs (famous people on social networks) but still held fan meetings with quite high ticket prices, from 595,000 VND to 2.8 million VND. Some audiences commented that the ticket prices were as high as going to a music concert and wondered what the two characters would perform to be worthy of the ticket price the audience paid.

This afternoon, September 18, at a regular press conference at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports informed about the license related to this exchange.

Accordingly, on September 3, 2025, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City received Document No. 030925/TB-CV from The Bros Vietnam Joint Stock Company regarding the request to organize an art performance in the program "Exchange session with Nguyen Tung Duong and Ninh Anh Bui".

Pursuant to the application for approval of art performance and the provisions of Decree 144/2020/ND-CP dated December 14, 2020 of the Government regulating performing arts activities, the Department issued Document No. 2785/SVHTT-NT dated September 11, 2025 on approving the organization of art performance at the request of The Bros Vietnam Joint Stock Company for the above program. The program content includes songs that have been evaluated and popularized in many previous programs.

Ninh Duong Story causes controversy over fan meeting participation price

For the above performance and exchange, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has coordinated with relevant agencies to work with The Bros Vietnam Joint Stock Company, requesting to provide security plans, scripts for exchanges with the audience and other activities to ensure the conditions for the program to take place. Currently, the agencies are coordinating with the organizing unit to appraise the contents according to the request; at the same time, reviewing the program, checking the security plans prepared by the organizing unit.

Also according to the announcement of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the program "Exchange with Nguyen Tung Duong and Ninh Anh Bui" does not carry out administrative procedures on advertising activities. Content with other commercial elements is not under the state management function of the department.
