Exciting activities of the 1st Vinh Tuy Ward Sports Festival

On the morning of October 25, at Mai Dong Secondary School, Vinh Tuy Ward People's Committee opened the first Ward Sports Congress in 2025.

In her opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Le Bich Hang emphasized that the movement of physical exercise and sports among the people of the ward has always been promoted, demonstrated by specific numbers: The number of people participating in regular exercise is always over 45%, the number of sports families is always over 38%... Many sports teams have become the city's main spearheads, such as table tennis, basketball, badminton, swimming...

After nearly 4 months of operating under the 2-level local government model, the Ward People's Committee and its affiliated units have organized many sports competitions in the area, focusing on a series of sports competitions to welcome the 1st Ward Party Congress, term 2025-2030, attracting nearly 1,000 athletes to participate.

Along with that, the sports competitions within the framework of the congress attracted a large number of people, students, officials, civil servants, workers and armed forces officers and soldiers to participate. Among them, typical are the table tennis tournament of clubs in the ward, the tug of war tournament for civil servants in 2025, a series of competitions in 8 student sports...

Sports tournaments are organized thoughtfully, safely, economically, and healthily, becoming a place for both competition and solidarity exchange between units and forces.

Thoroughly implementing the city's directive, the ward has proactively and determinedly organized the first Ward Sports Festival successfully. Over the past 2 months, the atmosphere of the festival has been exciting throughout the area, with active participation in competitions and training activities from schools, agencies, organizations, armed forces units, clubs, teams, residential groups, etc.

At the congress, athletes will compete in 8 sports with 41 events, from which the athletes with the best results will be selected to participate in training and compete at the 11th Capital Sports Festival - 2025.
