Exciting National Great Unity Day in residential area of Hamlet 8, Xuan Duong Commune

(DN) - On the morning of November 8, the residential area of Hamlet 8, Xuan Duong Commune, Dong Nai Province organized the National Great Unity Day (the model festival of the commune). Attending were representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune along with a large number of cadres, party members and local people.

The festival atmosphere was joyful and exciting with cultural and artistic activities, folk games such as tug of war, sack jumping... This was an opportunity for people to review the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , look back at the results of building great solidarity, and at the same time foster a spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.

Hamlet 8 currently has 357 households with more than 1,600 people. In recent times, under the leadership of the Party Cell and the Front Working Committee, patriotic emulation movements and the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" have been strongly promoted. People's lives have been increasingly improved, with an average income of about 80 million VND/person/year , and 98% of households achieving the title of Cultural Family .

Mr. Nguyen The Tho, 87 years old, a local resident, emotionally said: "The festival is joyful and exciting. I feel excited and hope that my children, grandchildren and relatives in my hamlet will live happily, healthily, and unite to move forward together."

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Le , Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Duong commune, the festival not only contributes to strengthening solidarity, but also creates motivation for people to develop the socio -economy and maintain security and order in the locality.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with achievements in emulation movements and exemplary cultural families were commended and rewarded; many gifts and scholarships were awarded to households and students in difficult circumstances.

From practical actions such as contributing 157 million VND to build 2 rural traffic routes, mobilizing more than 18 million VND to support people in flood-affected areas , or helping young people join the army, the people of Hamlet 8 continue to affirm the spirit of solidarity and affection.

This year's festival is even more meaningful as it takes place in the atmosphere towards the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) , contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc - a solid foundation for sustainable local development.
