With over 2,150 hectares of tea plantations, more than 10,400 hectares of fruit trees, and over 3,000 hectares of vegetables, along with 80 hectares of greenhouses and net houses, and over 500 hectares applying water-saving irrigation, Moc Chau is realizing its abundant economic potential. In particular, over 350 hectares of production adhering to VietGAP and Global GAP standards have contributed to increasing the value of agricultural land production to an average of over 80 million VND/hectare/year, even reaching 250 million VND/hectare in high-tech application areas.
This success is clearly demonstrated through the branding of many distinctive agricultural products such as tea, milk, plums, avocados, persimmons, oranges, etc., which are protected by geographical indications and their own product identities.
The system of 111 agricultural cooperatives with over 1,110 members and 33 OCOP products (including 11 products achieving 4 stars and 22 products achieving 3 stars) is clear evidence of the sustainable development of Moc Chau's agricultural sector. OCOP products, produced from high-quality raw materials by farmer members, not only create a stable market but also significantly increase people's income.

Moc Chau is also notable for its nearly 3,500 hectares of late-season plums – the largest late-season plum growing area in the country. Locals not only focus on plum production but also skillfully combine it with experiential tourism , utilizing the beauty of plum blossoms and fruit to attract visitors.
Mr. Ho Van Dat, owner of a plum orchard spanning over 5,000 square meters in the Na Ka valley, said he adjusted the plum blossom timing to cater to tourists during the New Year holiday, before focusing on fruit yield. Opening a camping service right in the orchard has helped his family increase their income by approximately 250,000 VND per campsite per night.
This model has been replicated, creating many attractive ecotourism and experiential products such as farm visits, agricultural product harvesting experiences, or exploring the lush green tea hills of Vinatea Moc Chau, heart-shaped tea hills, fingerprint-shaped tea hills, etc.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Moc Chau District, affirmed that sustainable agricultural development and cultural preservation are the foundation for Moc Chau tourism. The government always encourages community-based tourism models, combining agriculture and tourism, creating unique products to attract tourists and increase income for local people.
The agro-tourism model in Moc Chau not only contributes to sustainable economic development but also maximizes the local potential, bringing diverse economic benefits to the people, affirming Moc Chau's position as an attractive tourist destination and a model of agricultural development worth emulating.
