Speaking at the direction of the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 3, Colonel Bui The Dung emphasized: Given the complicated developments of the storm, the entire Division must thoroughly grasp the instructions of superiors, uphold the sense of responsibility, and proactively deploy measures to prevent and fight natural disasters and search and rescue.

Party committees and commanders at all levels focus on reviewing and completing all storm response plans and strategies; fully preparing means, logistics and technical materials, ensuring readiness to handle all situations. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to checking and consolidating storm prevention and control works in key areas, vulnerable terrain, picnic areas, training grounds and areas vulnerable to heavy rain and strong winds.

Units also regularly update hydrometeorological situations, proactively coordinate closely with local Party committees and authorities to coordinate in handling emergency situations. Forces participating in natural disaster prevention and control must be tightly organized, have a specific list, and be ready to mobilize immediately upon order.

Before performing tasks, it is necessary to foster and train additional skills in flood and storm prevention, rescue and relief work to improve the ability to handle real situations, and not be passive or surprised when a storm hits.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Lam Dung Tien requested that Party committees, political commissars, and commanders at all levels do a good job of educating, enhancing the sense of responsibility, determination to overcome difficulties, and successfully complete assigned tasks for officers and soldiers.

Strengthen propaganda and encouragement work for soldiers during the performance of their duties; pay attention to ensuring safety, especially in areas such as the construction of 500kV power lines, mass mobilization work... At the same time, direct units to promptly identify and arrange safe shelters for forces on duty outside the barracks.

Units under Division 316 proactively prepare adequate materials and equipment to serve the task of preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Immediately after the conference, Division 316 organized a working delegation led by Colonel Bui Minh Tham, Deputy Division Commander, to inspect the preparation of vehicles and materials of units to serve the mobilization of forces ready to participate in search and rescue, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
