Recently, People's Artist Thanh Dien made the audience worried when he shared a photo of himself sitting on a hospital bed and said he was about to enter the operating room.

In a clip posted on his personal YouTube channel, People's Artist Thanh Dien revealed that in just a few days, he had been to the emergency room three times. According to him, it was only on the third hospitalization that he discovered his illness. However, the male artist did not say specifically what illness he had.

Thanh Dien said that on the day he was admitted to the hospital, he had severe abdominal pain due to a recurrence of an old wound. The doctor said his blood pressure was up to 200mmHg, blood sugar was 165mg/dL, and his heart was pounding...

After a few days in the hospital, his health and spirit were stable. At the hospital, he met a few roommates, they told "jokes" so he felt happier and more comfortable.

Artist Thanh Dien shared that this hospitalization caused him to lose many projects. Among them, he regretted having to stop participating in TV series with Ngoc Huyen, Bao Chung, Hoa Hiep...

According to him, this is a film with many interesting points, both tragic and comedic. The plot of the film focuses on family affection and his character has many good points. Thanh Dien confided that when they heard about his illness, the production unit asked artist Bao Quoc to replace him.

The male artist said that while he was in the hospital, he missed his wife very much - the late artist Thanh Kim Hue. His wife had struggled with illness for a while, but now, by the time he was hospitalized, she had passed away. This made him extremely sad.

"The doctor said that I missed Hue so much that I was acting spoiled. I had to go to the emergency room three times before the illness was discovered. The illness had led me to painful hallucinations, only seeing the silhouettes of my deceased wife and daughter. I endured far less than my wife did at that time," he wrote.

In early May, People’s Artist Thanh Dien also made the audience worried when he revealed that he had been involved in a car accident in Phu Quoc. Accordingly, the car carrying the artist, his son and grandson was suddenly hit from behind by another car.

The collision caused the car carrying People's Artist Thanh Dien to be deformed at the rear and the windshield to break, but fortunately, he and his family members were all safe.

Artist Thanh Dien (born in 1947) and artist Thanh Kim Hue (born in 1954) got married in 1975, after 6 years of knowing each other.
