Traffic on Prenn Pass will be suspended from noon on December 8 to cut down trees at risk of falling.

To cut down trees on Prenn Pass that are at risk of falling, Lam Dong Department of Construction announced that vehicles will temporarily stop traveling on the pass from 11am to 5pm on December 8.

On the afternoon of December 7, Lam Dong Department of Construction announced that in order to ensure traffic for people and tourists going to Da Lat City (old), the Department announced: People and vehicles traveling on Prenn Pass from 11:00 to 17:00 on December 8 to organize construction to cut down trees at risk of falling, causing traffic safety problems.

During the above time, to ensure traffic safety, the Department of Construction requests the Provincial Traffic Police Department and the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat to support the placement of barriers and support forces to regulate traffic on the route.

In addition, the Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 1 is responsible for organizing the clearing of felled trees and ensuring the road is clear for vehicles to pass before 4:30 p.m. of the day.

Outside of the above time frame, people and vehicles (except trucks) are allowed to circulate again on Prenn Pass.

The above traffic diversion plan notice replaces the previous traffic organization notices on Prenn Pass route of the Department of Construction.

According to the Department of Construction, the current situation of rain and storms is complicated in the province, and construction units are continuing to repair and overcome the route.

Therefore, the Department of Construction recommends that people and vehicles, when traveling through Prenn Pass, pay attention to the following:

Limit traffic through the route when there is heavy rain, at night, when visibility is limited, except in necessary cases. At the same time, while traveling, pay attention to the current status of the route to promptly handle any incidents that may occur.

Take the initiative to slow down, obey traffic signs and traffic diversion plans in areas where construction and repairs are being carried out on the route.

According to the Department of Construction, during the 7-hour traffic suspension on Prenn Pass, vehicles were guided to move up and down Da Lat smoothly through the Mimosa, Sacom and Ta Nung passes.
