On April 22, Tan Son Nhat International Airport announced that during the upcoming April 30 - May 1 holiday peak period, the airport is expected to have more than 4,466 flights from April 28 to May 3, of which 1,380 will be international and 3,086 will be domestic. It is expected that there will be more than 800 flights/day during the peak period.

Total passengers: 755,910 passengers, passenger volume   International expected: 255,715 people and domestic 500,195 people.

Coordinate and promptly arrange personnel at the AOCC Center (airport operations coordination center) to increase personnel, develop detailed work plans at each location, and regulate vehicles and equipment appropriately to avoid congestion.

During the upcoming peak holiday season of April 30 and May 1, the Security Center will   Arrange to increase forces, transfer appropriate numbers of troops between the Professional Teams before and after the Festival.

Coordinate with taxi companies, contract cars, technology cars to increase the number of vehicles serving at the Port during the holidays and many other units to monitor safety and security.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport is working specifically with technology car companies to guide passengers from the international terminal to the technology car pick-up area. The port is implementing the construction of a roof for the road from the international terminal to the technology car park, and at the same time, building a separate entrance/exit for technology cars in the adjustment area.

Strengthening Aviation Security and Safety

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just issued a decision to apply level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures at airports.

Accordingly, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will apply level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures from April 29 to May 3 at airports including Noi Bai, Da Nang ,   Tan Son Nhat, Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh and facilities providing flight operations assurance services in the airport areas.

For airports, facilities providing flight operations assurance services, and other aviation service providers, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires strengthening aviation security assurance as at level 1 but does not need to increase the number of on-duty personnel by 20%.
