Strengthening inspection of drivers violating alcohol concentration

The Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, said that on the evening of October 25 alone, the authorities detected and recorded 2,319 cases of alcohol concentration violations, most of which were motorbike drivers (2,226 cases). In addition, many truck and car drivers were also detected violating.

This is the result obtained after the traffic police force conducted alcohol concentration tests on 58,293 drivers (1,818 passenger car drivers, 3,980 truck drivers, 12,966 cars, 38,083 motorbikes, 19 special-purpose cars, 1,436 rudimentary vehicles and other vehicles) nationwide.

According to the Traffic Police Department, the nationwide inspection of violations will be carried out regularly and continuously, focusing on routes and areas with complicated traffic safety and order. The inspection activities will take place even during holidays and Tet, aiming to establish the habit of "don't drive after drinking" in the whole society.
