9 individuals of the tile-billed bird have just been released back into the wild at Nhac Son hill, Kim Tan ward, Lao Cai city. This is evidence in a case of illegal hunting of wild birds and migratory birds on October 3, 2024, which occurred at group 3, Binh Minh ward, Lao Cai city. The subject used fake traps as decoy birds and nets to catch them.

Since the beginning of October, the provincial Forest Protection Department has discovered and handled 2 violations, including dismantling 3 bird trapping points with over 350 meters of net.

The unit is strengthening coordination with local authorities and functional agencies to identify and inspect locations where violations of hunting, trapping, storing, trading, and transporting wild and migratory birds often occur in the area; strictly handling violations according to regulations.
