Tay Ninh: Suspended from teaching for teacher who sent intimate messages to female student

On October 5, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Tay Ninh province, the Board of Directors of Rach Kien High School has decided to suspend teaching and is conducting disciplinary proceedings against the teacher involved in the incident of sending intimate messages to a 10th grade female student.

Previously, according to a report by the Principal of Rach Kien High School (Rach Kien hamlet, Tay Ninh province), on October 20, the school's Board of Directors received information from a teacher about TL (10th grade student) being sent many intimate love messages by a male teacher.

On October 21, the school invited TL to work. Here, the female student stated that Mr. NVT, a teacher at the school, had sent intimate messages to her and had touched her body.

During the meeting, TL expressed his wish for the incident to stop so that he could study in peace. Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi, Vice Principal of Rach Kien High School, encouraged him and asked TL to write a report.

On October 22, the Board of Directors worked with teacher NVT. After listening to the student's report, teacher NVT admitted to having sent intimate messages back and forth with the female student. However, teacher T. affirmed that he did not physically touch the student. Teacher T. admitted his mistake in sending intimate messages to the student.

The school board asked Mr. T. to write a report, a self-criticism, and immediately end the relationship, not letting the incident happen again. The school counseling board then discussed with TL and he agreed with the school's solution.

However, the matter became complicated when at 2:25 p.m. on October 27, TL's biological mother and another woman came to the school to ask to discuss their studies. Afterwards, these two people went straight to the equipment room, rushed in and beat Mr. T. and those who tried to stop them. According to the report, these two people also used insulting and offensive words towards the school's Board of Directors.

As soon as the incident occurred, the school reported it to Rach Kien Commune Police to handle the situation. The commune police were present and worked with the school board and the two women who beat the teacher and disturbed the school's security and order.
