In response to the anger of domestic users, Thai authorities had to speak up to deal with the incident of a group of fans advertising gambling in disguise at Rajamangala Stadium during the match between U22 Vietnam and Laos. According to Thairath , Mr. Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, said that he had taken note of the incident and would coordinate to resolve it.
This person affirmed that the above action violates the laws of the host country. At the same time, the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) needs to take legal action, including asking the police to intervene and file a lawsuit. Advertising illegal gambling and betting content is also prohibited in this country. At the same time, verifying the identity of spectators is within the capabilities of SAT. When entering the stadium to watch the match, spectators need to provide documents, including passports for international guests and identification cards for Thai citizens.
According to the reporter of Tri Thuc - Znews at Rajamangala stadium, there were only about 50 Vietnamese fans present. The group carried the bookie banners and sat in clusters, with people following them to help take photos and record videos. After the situation appeared on television, these individuals quickly put on their jackets and put away the betting website banners.

Thai newspaper Matichon reported that Thai sports fans expressed outrage when images of a group of “pretty girls” advertising a betting website on the field were shown on television. This happened in the context of the gambling and fraud models in this country being condemned.
The incident took place on the afternoon of December 3, when Vietnam met Laos in Group B of the 33rd SEA Games at Rajamangala Stadium. Several times during the match, the host country Thailand's production unit hit people in the stands carrying illegal betting website banners, targeting Vietnamese users. Through live television, these gambling platforms reach domestic customers through the broadcast channels of a series of television stations.
Similar images also appeared in the match between Thailand and Timor Leste.
For example, in the 28th minute, when Dinh Bac scored, the camera immediately turned to the stands where Vietnamese fans gathered. Standing out in the middle of the frame was a group of women wearing shirts with the logo of the betting platform O****, which is on the blacklist, banned from advertising issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications . These people also held banners supporting the Vietnamese team, but the accompanying text was the betting website brand.
Immediately after that, in the Thailand - Timor Leste match, VTV commentators had to read a notice reminding users not to access illegal betting and gambling websites before the start of the first half.
