Establishing the model of "Community Media Team"

The Women's Union of Tan Son district has just coordinated with Thu Cuc commune to launch the model "Community communication team in My A area".

The My A community media team was established with 10 members who are officials from various sectors and prestigious people in the residential community with the aim of propagating and mobilizing people in the community to change their thinking and working habits, contributing to eliminating gender prejudices, gender stereotypes in families and communities, and harmful cultural practices.

This is one of the activities of Project 8 “Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children” under the National Target Program for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, period 2021-2030, chaired by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. Notably, this is the 54th Communication Team in Tan Son district.

The reporter discussed with members of the Community Communication Team and women's union members of Thu Cuc commune about gender equality propaganda skills.

At the program, the reporters of the District Women's Union and Thu Cuc Commune Police organized propaganda and capacity building training on "Changing thinking and working methods, linking gender equality with good traditional values ​​in implementing village covenants and conventions in 2024" for 100 delegates and women's union members of My A area, Thu Cuc commune.

On this occasion, the Women's Union of Tan Son district presented My A area with a set of portable speakers worth 3 million VND to serve propaganda work in residential areas.
