Binh Dinh Youth Learn About Family Work

On the evening of May 26, at Quy Nhon University, the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh in coordination with Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union organized a contest to learn about family work among young people in 2025.

The contest has 4 teams representing the Youth Union branches under Quy Nhon University Youth Union. Here, the teams will participate in three parts including greeting, knowledge and skit.

Accordingly, in the greeting round, the teams will briefly introduce their members; activities of the Youth Union and students in the propaganda work of building prosperous, progressive, happy families. Propagating skills to deal with violence, knowledge of building prosperous, progressive, happy, sustainable families through the form of speeches, storytelling or composing poems, folk songs, and animations...

The conference aims to strengthen propagandaand education for young people about policies and laws on family and prevention of domestic violence.

In the knowledge competition, teams must answer question packages (in multiple choice format) with content within the main content of the competition.

In the skit competition, each team develops and performs a skit to raise awareness of the importance of moral education, family lifestyle, and prevention of domestic violence. Promote the role of the Youth Union in propagating and educating young people about moral lifestyle; build a civilized and happy family environment, create conditions for young people to develop comprehensively and enjoy the fruits of development; build a healthy cultural environment, raise awareness and responsibility of young people towards their families...

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh, Huynh Thi Anh Thao, in recent years, propaganda on family work has always been of interest to Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts and organizations from the province to the grassroots level with many forms and rich content. Information, legal policies on marriage and family, gender equality, and prevention of domestic violence have reached a large number of people.

Through propaganda activities, we contribute to changing “ways of thinking and doing”, eliminating prejudices and gender stereotypes in families and communities, harmful cultural practices, promoting gender equality, solving urgent problems of women and children. Ensuring the voice and real participation of women and children in socio -economic development activities of the community, gradually changing the face of people's lives, creating a movement to compete in economic development, participating in hunger eradication and poverty reduction, actively implementing the construction of prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized families in the current new situation.

According to Ms. Thao, family work, domestic violence prevention, protection of women, children, and vulnerable people in the family is not a matter of one day or one afternoon but requires time, and the first thing is to improve people's knowledge, actively propagate along with implementing gender equality, enforcing laws and strict sanctions. Family work and domestic violence prevention is not the work of an individual or an independent organization but a common task, requiring synchronous combination, coordination of relevant agencies and the entire political system, the whole society to participate to bring about practical results in order to build a civilized and progressive society, happy families, in which young people play a very important role.
