Mr. Ngan Van Quang, Secretary of the Youth Union of Muong Sai Commune, said: The economic development movement among union members and youth of Muong Sai Commune is increasingly promoted. Accompanying young people to start and establish businesses, the Youth Union of the Commune has implemented practical support activities, such as creating conditions for union members to borrow capital to develop production and business; training in transferring science and technology, building effective models; orienting and consulting on creative ideas so that union members and youth can choose a start-up path suitable to their actual conditions.
The Commune Youth Union has taken on the responsibility and coordinated with the Social Policy Bank to support union members in accessing preferential capital sources, with a total outstanding loan balance of over 28.5 billion VND, creating conditions for more than 80 households to borrow to develop economic models, create jobs, and create stable livelihoods for more than 380 union members and youth in the area. At the same time, the Commune Youth Union has coordinated with specialized sectors to organize training sessions on fruit tree planting, concentrated livestock farming, and guidance on seed management, agricultural materials, and scientific care processes. Thanks to that, many effective economic models have emerged, with 30 typical economic models owned by youth, with revenue from 200 - 250 million VND/year, opening up opportunities for replication, becoming a suitable direction for local youth in economic development.

Thanks to timely capital and the spirit of daring to think and dare to do, many union members and young people have boldly started businesses and built effective economic models. A typical example is union member Luong Thi Thieu, Nong village, Muong Sai commune, with a model of growing oranges and grapefruits. Taking us to visit the model, Ms. Thieu shared: My family is in a difficult situation, mainly growing rice and corn, with low efficiency and unstable income. In 2020, my family and I discussed and decided to borrow 150 million VND from the Social Policy Bank to renovate more than 2 hectares of upland land, to switch to growing oranges and grapefruits. I proactively learned techniques through books, newspapers, social networks and growers in the commune, participated in training courses organized by the Commune Union in coordination with specialized agencies, gradually mastering everything from timely fertilization, reasonable watering, to pruning techniques and pest prevention. After 5 years, the garden grew well, gave stable productivity, and each year, after deducting expenses, the family earned about 300 million VND.

Accompanying young people in creative startups, digital transformation and building suitable economic models, Muong Sai Commune Youth Union focuses on propaganda, expanding training courses, transferring techniques, improving production capacity and market adaptability. At the same time, strengthening connections, encouraging the formation of cooperatives and groups to support production and product consumption, strictly managing loans, contributing to creating jobs for young people and promoting local socio-economic development.
