The 2025 Autumn Fair brings together about 3,000 booths on an area of over 130,000 m², divided into 5 sub-zones. This is a national economic and cultural event, attracting the participation of 34 provinces, cities, ministries, branches and domestic and foreign enterprises. The fair aims to stimulate domestic consumption, promote economic growth of over 8% for 2025, and at the same time promote Vietnamese cultural values.

Among 3,000 vibrant booths, Son La province's booth stands out like a vivid picture bearing the mark of the Northwest mountains. Son La booth is over 200 square meters wide, designed in the image of Ta Xua mountains and forests, the crispy persimmon season in Moc Chau... interwoven with modern and traditional elements. Visitors are welcomed by the bustling Thai dances and the colorful brocade costumes of the Thai people; can participate in the traditional rice cake pounding experience of the Mong people... can enjoy coffee, tea and shop for typical agricultural products of the province on sale at the booth.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Anh, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Son La province, said: From the beginning of October, the Center consulted with the Provincial People's Committee to develop a plan, design booths and inform participating businesses and cooperatives. This is an opportunity for Son La province to promote tourism and cultural products to visitors. Therefore, in addition to the area displaying and introducing agricultural products, we built models of stilt houses, brocade weaving looms, mascot models of Thai and Mong ethnic groups... to create highlights for the booth. Hopefully, through the fair, there will be more businesses operating in the fields of business, agricultural processing and tourism to come and learn about investment and business opportunities in Son La province.
Affirming its position as the "agricultural granary" of the North, Son La province's booth attracted thousands of visitors and shoppers, with products such as: Moc Chau ancient Shan Tuyet tea, wild honey, coffee and organic vegetables, tubers and fruits. At the fair, distributors and businesses in the food sector had their first connections with cooperatives and agricultural production cooperatives. The effective connection of supply and demand contributed to building an effective supply chain, helping farmers have stable output.

At the province's booth, it is not only about trading goods but also about cultural stories and tourism products. Each agricultural product becomes a story through short videos and introductory documents, emphasizing the organic production process associated with local identity. For example, Shan Tuyet tea grown in Chieng Son commune is not only a precious tea, but also a story about preserving the traditional profession of the Mong people on Pha Luong peak. Accordingly, visitors and people of the provinces and cities attending the fair can both enjoy the products and listen to the stories of the products on display.

Traditional culture is spread through folk art performances on the main stage of the booth. Every day, from 9am to 10pm, visitors can enjoy xoè dances, then singing and gong performances. In particular, the cultural experience area allows visitors to participate in hand-weaving brocade, learn how to dye fabric from forest leaves, or enjoy ethnic cuisine such as five-color sticky rice and smoked buffalo meat. Handicraft products made from bamboo, rattan and linen are not only souvenirs, but also tell the story of the life of ethnic minority communities in Son La province.

Talking to us at the Fair, Ms. Lo Thi Mai, a Thai ethnic artisan from Thuan Chau commune, shared: Through the fair, we hope that Son La culture will be closer to everyone. Through the xoe dances, along with the gongs and cymbals typical of the Thai ethnic group in Son La, I personally hope that cultural tourism products will be of interest to the province and the commune. From there, we will look for units operating in the tourism sector to build tours and tourist routes through Thuan Chau commune, contributing to promoting Thai ethnic culture.

The 2025 Autumn Fair is truly a "meeting place for trade and inspiration for Vietnamese creativity", where Son La not only introduces typical goods but also promotes national culture and shares stories about agricultural production. With active participation, Son La province is contributing to the spirit of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", while opening the door to international integration.
