Professional skills training for forces participating in foreign information activities in border areas

On October 27, the School of Training and Fostering of Science and Technology Cadres coordinated with the Department of Grassroots Information and Foreign Information under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening ceremony of a training course on knowledge and skills in foreign information for forces participating in foreign information activities in border areas.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province; the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information; and the School for Training and Development of Scientific and Technological Cadres .

Over five days, nearly 70 leaders and specialists in charge of external information work from the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders of border communes in the provinces of Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Son La, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, and Tuyen Quang were provided with knowledge on external information and propaganda work; requirements for external information work in the face of regional and global challenges; updates on new issues in the world and region, and the requirements of external information work in the new situation; and professional exchanges on external information work.

The training content aims to improve the capacity, quality, and effectiveness of external information work, and to raise awareness and responsibility among leaders, officials, and civil servants in charge; and to apply the knowledge imparted to effectively implement external information tasks in the future.
