"Transforming" rural roads

(Baohatinh.vn) - Currently, many localities in Ha Tinh are simultaneously implementing upgrades and improvements to rural transportation systems, contributing to improving the lives of the people.

In Tram Bang village (Duc Tho commune), with the support of local resources, in recent days, the villagers have collectively mobilized labor to pave the main village roads with concrete, accelerating the progress and contributing to facilitating daily life and transportation.

Mr. Nguyen An Ninh, Secretary of the Party Branch of Tram Bang village, said: "In response to the peak month for building new rural areas launched throughout the commune, we surveyed the degraded and damaged village roads to renovate and concrete them. In two weeks of mobilizing the people to participate, we renovated more than 1.5 km of village roads; at the same time, the roads were beautified, the corridors cleared, creating a new look after a long period of natural disasters."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thien (Tram Bang village) happily shared: “ For a long time, the more than 150-meter-long road extending from the main road into the residential area was often muddy and difficult to travel on, especially during the rainy season. Now, with the support of the local authorities and the joint efforts of the villagers, the road leading to my house is much more spacious, clean, and beautiful, making travel and daily life much more convenient .”

Besides improving the quality of main village roads, the people of Duc Tho commune also actively responded to the peak month of building new rural areas by cleaning village roads and alleys, trimming green hedges, creating a new look for the countryside in the last days of the year.

In Toan Luu commune, the paving of rural roads is one of the tasks that the local authorities are focusing on in the final phase, aiming to complete the target of rural road construction by 2025.

Accordingly, the villages of Tay Son, Kim Son, Trung Nam, Vinh Trung, etc., in Toan Luu commune are the units that have been focusing on completing the target of rural road construction in the final stage, with 3 km of main village roads and alleyways being upgraded, widened, and newly constructed to ensure they are paved according to regulations.

In response to the 60-day intensive campaign for building new rural areas across the province, all 34 villages in Mai Phu commune are focusing their resources on transforming the rural transportation system. Many inter-village and alley roads are being widened, concreted, and upgraded comprehensively.

Residents of Tay Giang village (Mai Phu commune) are focusing on upgrading the main village roads.

" Over the past week, villagers have collectively mobilized to pour concrete for road shoulders, build flowerbeds, and plant trees along the more than 1-kilometer-long main village road. To accomplish this project, the village mobilized internal resources, including financial contributions and labor from the people, along with support from the local authorities and social contributions, " shared Tran Thi Thai, Secretary of the Tay Giang Village Party Branch (Mai Phu Commune).

In Cam Hung commune, the atmosphere of launching road construction projects is also vibrant. Mr. Le Ngoc Ha, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Hung commune, said: "With the motto 'The State and the People work together,' the commune has mobilized maximum resources and encouraged the voluntary contribution of the people. This unity not only helps complete the roads on schedule but also creates a solid foundation for improving the quality of transportation and other criteria in the area."

The simultaneous campaign by localities in Ha Tinh province to "renovate" rural roads not only contributes to improving infrastructure and creating a more attractive appearance for each village, but also affirms the determination to improve the quality of life for the people.

The upgraded and renovated roads will facilitate travel and trade, promote socio-economic development, and spread the spirit of collective effort and unity in building sustainable new rural areas. This is also clear evidence of the proactive and practical approach of the local Party committee and government, putting the people at the center, gradually building Ha Tinh into an increasingly civilized, prosperous, and beautiful province.
