The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences will become the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, from March 1.
Hanoi National University said today that the new school will train high-quality human resources in an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary direction, pioneering the development of cultural, creative and artistic industries. The school will also have a role in research, knowledge transfer and policy consulting, creating a foundation to contribute to the country's development and international integration.
The School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts will ensure regular expenses (autonomy), have its own seal and account for transactions.
"This is one of the breakthrough steps of Hanoi National University. The combination of traditional foundation and experience with creativity and pioneering will contribute to ensuring the steady development of the school," said a representative of Hanoi National University.
Thus, since March, Hanoi National University has 9 member universities, including the University of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Foreign Languages, Technology, Economics , Education, Vietnam-Japan, Medicine and Pharmacy, Law; 3 affiliated schools including the School of Management and Business, International, Interdisciplinary Science and Arts; one affiliated faculty is the International Francophone Faculty.
In addition, Hanoi National University has 6 research institutes and training centers, scientific research, service units and knowledge transfer.

This year, the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts plans to enroll a number of new majors and majors, including Visual Arts (Art Photography and Contemporary Plastic Arts); Architecture and Landscape Design; Multimedia Design.
Last year, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences enrolled 5 majors: Creative Design (with majors in Creative Fashion, Sustainable Interior Design, Digital Graphics); Brand Management, Heritage Resource Management, Entertainment and Event Management, Smart and Sustainable Urban Management. The benchmark score based on high school graduation exam results ranges from 22 to 26.13.
