(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Contestant Ngoc Ha excellently won first prize in the online singing competition "Song of Unity," thanks to her performance of the song "Choosing the Right Song," which was once associated with Hoa Minzy.
The online singing competition "Song of Unity," initiated by the Vietnam Musicians Association last October, aims to commemorate the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The competition attracted over 1,000 participants from across the country. Through more than 200 casting sessions, 150 daily competitions, 20 weekly competitions, and 5 monthly competitions, the judging panel selected the 12 most outstanding contestants to compete in the semi-final rounds.
The final night took place in Hanoi on March 24th, where six talented singers – Hoang Yen, Manh Kun, Mai Mai, Nhat Quang (Doo), Minh Quy, and Ngoc Ha – competed.

The judging panel for the final night included big names in Vietnamese music such as People's Artist Pham Ngoc Khoi, People's Artist Quang Vinh, People's Artist Ha Thuy, singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, lecturer Thanh Luan, and Tien Tran. The program advisor was journalist Tran Dang Tuan.
Contestant Ngoc Ha, 31 years old, from Hai Duong, captivated the judges with two impressive performances: "The Bird Bringing Good News" (Dam Thanh) and "Choosing the Right Fish" (Tuan Cry). Despite being a famous hit by Hoa Minzy, she still made her own mark with her unique vocal style. Her soaring voice received much applause from the audience.
Ngoc Ha graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and works at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre. She won first prize in the 2019 Vietnam-China Friendship Singing Contest and the gold medal at the 2017 Asia Pacific Music Festival in Hong Kong (China). The singer performs in many cultural exchange programs both domestically and internationally.
Manh Kun, a young man who gained popularity on social media abroad, won the Audience Favorite Award worth 50 million VND. He made a strong impression with his two songs, "Tu Nguyen" (Voluntarily) and "Ve Tham Me" (Visiting Mother) . Second place, worth 20 million VND, went to Doo from Hue, while Hoang Yen received third place.

Two consolation prizes were awarded to Minh Quy and Mai Mai. People's Artist Ha Thuy commented on Ngoc Ha: "Your song choices are very refined." She also praised: "The progress of the six contestants is proof of their passion and relentless efforts."
The final night not only awards valuable prizes to encourage young talent but also provides an opportunity for the audience to participate in voting, increasing the connection between contestants and the public.
