Not simply a launching ceremony, Workers’ Month 2025 in Nghe An opened with a large-scale program, bearing the mark of organization and humanistic depth. From the grand performance of 1,000 workers and laborers to the timely gifts shared; from knowledge dissemination sessions to on-site health care programs, the role of the working class and trade unions was clearly demonstrated.

To achieve that result, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor has made serious investments in both organizational thinking and practical implementation. Right from the idea stage, the Organizing Committee determined that the performance was not just a simple performance, but had to convey the image of a solid team of workers, a union organization with the ability to gather and spread to the grassroots level. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Head of the Propaganda and Women's Union of the Provincial Federation of Labor is the person primarily responsible for the content and staging of the performance.

The preparation process for the program began many months ago, focusing on selecting songs with clear ideological meanings, in line with the spirit of Workers' Month and towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. After many options, two songs, "Workers on the New Road" and "The Country Full of Joy", were used, in which the main song praised the spirit of action of workers in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, affirming the central role of workers in the development process.

After completing the staging, at the end of March 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a training course on folk dance and sports for core union staff. On the same day of the training, sample clips made by the core union staff were sent to all grassroots union levels for synchronous implementation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang - Vice President of the Labor Federation of Nghia Dan district shared: “Every time after office hours or during breaks, music resounds in factories, industrial parks, schoolyards, halls... The steady footsteps and decisive movements are vivid proof of the influence of a program. Thanks to the close guidance of union officials and the high response from workers, the two folk dance performances quickly spread as a physical training activity to unite the spirit of workers and civil servants. Taking place in the atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to the great celebration of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, everyone's spirit is even more enthusiastic".

With 1,000 union members participating in the performance, Head of the Propaganda and Women's Union of the Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy had to directly instruct the entire class, ensuring uniformity and aesthetics in each movement. Because the union members participating in the performance were mainly workers and laborers at enterprises, arranging time was the biggest challenge of the performance. Active support from the unit and the union members' own efforts helped the practice plan to be completed. Before the show, the entire lineup had only one rehearsal, but thanks to the careful preparation process, the performance was considered a complete success, leaving a strong impression on the delegates attending.

To create a visual effect and convey a clear message, 100 outstanding union members were selected to stand in front, wearing blue union shirts and red scarves symbolizing the national flag. The remaining 900 people wore red and yellow shirts, lined up in neat formation, creating a lively and brilliant image. At the end, 100 people in blue shirts formed the letter “V”, symbolizing “Vietnam” along with the image of the red flag with yellow star fluttering next to the words “Nghe An Union”.

Sharing after the event, worker Nguyen Thi Hoa - a member of the Minh Anh - Kim Lien Garment Company Union emphasized: "Although I am just a small link in a large team, I clearly feel the honor of participating in the event. Every stage is professional and methodical. The union staff has been very close, creating conditions and inspiring us."

After the launching ceremony ended, the 1,000 workers' performance clip continued to be shared on social networks, spreading widely among the union community, joining the performance clips of unions at all levels. This program created a vivid collective image of Nghe An workers in the new era, reflecting the organizational capacity, level of movement mobilization and the connecting role of the union organization in practice.

The benefits of understanding

At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month 2025, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor once again demonstrated its pioneering role in concretizing care with telling numbers. 27 "Union Shelters" were awarded, each worth 50 million VND; 107 gifts, with a total value of 127 million VND, were given to workers who had work-related accidents and were in difficult circumstances; more than 1,000 union members were informed to improve their knowledge of occupational safety and hygiene, nutrition and health care.

In particular, the “Workers’ Health Day” program helped more than 400 workers receive health check-ups, medical consultations and free medicine right at the event. This series of activities is not ostentatious or formal; all are organized in the spirit of “taking union members as the center”, taking substance as the measure of effectiveness. And it is from these specific actions that Nghe An Trade Union has affirmed its role in caring for union members and workers.

“I am very happy that the union has created conditions for us to participate in a meaningful playground, which is both fun for the spirit, healthy for the body, and also increases knowledge. After the incident of many colleagues suffering from silicosis, we have understood more about the importance of the work that the union does, from propagating the law, occupational hygiene to health check-ups... Although our company has been dissolved, the higher-level union still cares and regularly visits us,” said Mr. Ta Dinh Phuong, a former worker at Chau Tien Company Limited. It is known that in this event, many workers of Chau Tien Company Limited were invited to attend a general examination, including clinical examination, abdominal ultrasound, electrocardiogram, ear - nose - throat examination, eye examination, teeth - jaw - face examination...

When the workers step onto the center stage not as spectators, but as the main characters of the program, that is also the moment when their position is more properly recognized in the development cycle. The synchronized steps in the ensemble performance, the bright eyes after the health check, the emotional smiles when receiving a warm home… are the clearest evidence of the effectiveness of a program that is not ostentatious but full of weight.

Workers' Month only lasts for one month, but the values ​​it arouses about concern, trust and companionship will continue to spread in workers' lives throughout the year. And there, the trade union is the companion leading the working class with responsibility and understanding.
