Speaking at the Conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Kim Toan acknowledged the efforts of localities in the process of receiving opinions from provincial leaders and suggestions from officials and people to adjust the names of communes and wards after the rearrangement.

Comrade Le Kim Toan said that many new names are very good, such as the way Tay Son district named the new communes Binh Khe, Binh Hiep, Binh Phu, Binh An, which are both associated with history and tradition and easy to identify.

In addition, there are new commune names that are historical but not yet familiar to the people, and need to be widely communicated. For example, Hoa Hoi (the new commune name in Phu Cat district) is the name of a former commune, now the name of a village, with little information. Along with that are place names such as Kim Son, Van Duc, De Gi, An Luong, etc.

Thus, we have completed the important task of arranging administrative units and naming new communes and wards,” said the Provincial Party Secretary.
