The Traveler's Choice Awards Best of the Best Destinations of online travel platform Tripadvisor honored the capital Hanoi in the top 3 categories in the world in 2025.
This year, the capital Hanoi was honored in the following categories: Top 25 World's Leading Cultural Destinations (2nd place); Top 25 World's Leading Destinations (7th place) and the special category of Top 25 Most Favorite Destinations of All Time, in celebration of Tripadvisor's 25th anniversary (14th place).

The capital Hanoi is a harmonious combination of ancient beauty and modern breath, lasting through time, fully preserving the nostalgic beauty of the old quarter, historical relics and architectural works, while welcoming the constant development of a dynamic, modern city.
Tripadvisor commented: “Through the ups and downs of time, with many different names, the thousand-year-old capital has never forgotten its heroic history.
Places like Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum or Hoa Lo Prison are clear evidence of that."
