Customs revenue decreased

As of May 14, the total state budget revenue of the Customs Branch of Region XV reached VND 7,623 billion, equal to 35% of the assigned target, 7% lower than the same period in 2024. In May alone, customs budget revenue decreased by 19% compared to the previous month, mainly due to a sharp decrease in import-export turnover and some key commodities.

In 2024, the Customs Branch of Region XV was assigned a target of collecting 24,650 billion VND for the State budget, of which 23,300 billion VND for Ba Ria-Vung Tau and 1,350 billion VND for Binh Thuan .

To complete the task in a difficult context, the customs sector is strengthening post-clearance inspection, strictly controlling declared values, combating trade fraud and tax losses. At the same time, it supports businesses in complying with the law, stabilizing production, import and export activities, contributing to ensuring revenue for the State budget. (Tra Ngan)
